IMMO welcomes individuals, organizations, and institutions committed to the empowerment of Muslim minorities and the promotion of justice, human rights, and peaceful coexistence. Our membership structure ensures broad, inclusive participation at national, regional, and international levels. This document outlines the eligibility, types, and responsibilities of IMMO members, fostering a shared commitment to our mission and values.

Individual Membership

Eligibility:

  • A Muslim, resident in a Muslim minority context or actively engaged in Muslim minority advocacy.
  • Aged 18 years or above (Youth Wing: 18–35 years).
  • Must endorse IMMO’s mission, vision, and values.

Organizational / Institutional Membership

Eligibility:

  • Registered NGOs, community organizations, think tanks, or educational institutions.
  • Operating in Muslim minority communities or supporting related causes.
  • Must align with IMMO’s principles of inclusivity, peaceful coexistence, and rule of law.

Individual Membership

Types of Membership:

General Member:

Participates in programs, forums, and campaigns.

Active Member:

Eligible to vote, hold office, and serve on committees (subject to approval).

Honorary Member:

Individuals recognized for exceptional service or leadership (by invitation).

 

Membership Requirements:

  • Completed application form.
  • Endorsement by one existing member or local chapter.
  • Annual membership fee (adjusted per country).
  • Commitment to IMMO’s code of ethics, Muslim Minority Charter and confidentiality.
Organizational / Institutional Membership

Membership Types:

Associate Member Organization:

Limited involvement; participates in programs.

Full Member Organization:

Voting rights, representation in councils, eligibility to propose resolutions.

Partner Institution:

Strategic alliances for research, advocacy, or programming (non-voting).

 

Membership Requirements:

  • Legal registration proof in their country.
  • Constitution/bylaws that do not contradict IMMO values.
  • Letter of interest and commitment.
  • Nomination of a representative to attend IMMO forums.

Membership Levels

National Level

  • Individuals or organizations based in a specific country.
  • Engage with local IMMO chapter.
  • Participate in national initiatives and decision-making

Regional Level

  • Members from multiple countries within a continent/region.
  • Elect/nominate regional representatives.
  • Collaborate on regional issues, campaigns, and research.

International Level

  • Members recognized for global contribution or involvement.
  • Eligible for roles in global councils, advisory boards, and forums.
  • Often drawn from national and regional leadership.
