In a significant development towards advancing the cause of Muslim minorities worldwide, the Founder and Chief Coordinator of the International Muslim Minorities Organization (IMMO), Mr. Muhammad Quthb Babu, met with H.E. Dr. Ali Al Qaradaghi, President of the International Union of Muslim Scholars (IUMS), in Doha recently.
During the meeting, Mr. Quthb Babu presented IMMO’s vision, mission, and strategic programs designed to empower Muslim minorities and promote their socio-political, educational, and cultural upliftment across the globe.
Dr. Al Qaradaghi warmly welcomed and commended the establishment of IMMO, describing it as “a timely and much-needed initiative for Muslims living in non-OIC countries, who face diverse and unique challenges in their respective contexts.” He emphasized the importance of addressing social, political, cultural, and human rights issues at a global level and acknowledged IMMO’s potential role in uniting and amplifying the voices of Muslim minorities.
While appreciating IMMO’s initiative, Dr. Qaradaghi also highlighted the challenges such organizations may face in navigating global complexities, offering his guidance, encouragement, and moral support to strengthen IMMO’s path forward.
The meeting served as a source of inspiration and renewed enthusiasm for the IMMO leadership, reaffirming its commitment to build meaningful partnerships and provide a global platform for Muslim minorities striving for dignity, inclusion, and empowerment. The IMMO delegation was led by Mr. Muhammad Quthb Babu, Founder and Chief Coordinator, and included Mr. Lukman Abdul Sathar (Qatar), Mr. Anas Muhammed (Qatar), and Mr. Aneesudheen Ahmad (Qatar).
